The People Have Spoken on G2 and TrustRadius, and They Love Planful’s Financial Performance Management Software

Business-to-business customers have for years looked to industry analysts for guidance when choosing products and services. The well-established firms—Gartner, Forrester, IDC, Constellation, and many others—have teams of researchers, experts, and practitioners, along with methodical processes and rankings, to offer qualitative and quantitative insights to business buyers searching for the right financial performance management software vendor. We recently created a short primer to help you navigate these dozens of market reports and software analyst perspectives of those covering our financial performance management sector.

Over the past twenty-odd years, however, online communities have empowered regular folks to offer opinions and ratings like never before. Restaurant review site Yelp, among others, provided the early framework for these types of services where patrons of restaurants, spas, lawn services, and other businesses can offer their unvarnished comments and assign a star rating. Today, two of the most recognizable user review sites for the business software and services market are G2 and TrustRadius. Tens of millions of professionals from around the world visit these sites each year to offer reviews, insights, and rankings that help other B2B buyers make better decisions.
